EZE Breeze windows

Belmont, NC Complete Backyard Makeover

For this beautiful project, our client came to us with with one goal in mind, “Transform my backyard into an amazing space for my family and friends”. What started with a small, rotting wood deck turned into a complete Trex sun deck, full covered kitchen with endless stainless appliances, and a grand, gable roof, EZE Breeze porch with fireplace and 12’ glass sliding door. The project was basically three separate outdoor living spaces.

The outer deck and staircase was designed to accommodate a large sectional couch and fire table. We installed Trex Enhance Naturals grooved decking with hidden fasteners in the Toasted Sand color with a matching single border and 1x12 fascia. The railing on the deck and stairs was a 36” tall Trex Signature black aluminum railing accompanied by black Trex wedge lights and round LED risers lights. The steps led down to a Belgard paver path with on offset border.

The outdoor covered kitchen area turned out just amazing. We continued the Trex Toasted Sand decking in this area. Instead of Trex railing, we installed a long L-Shaped stone and granite kitchen, master work station equipped with a large Green Egg, working sink with cover, large gas griddle cook top, 36” professional gas grill, oversized hood vent and numerous storage doors below. We installed a separate oversized stone and granite island to accommodate a warming drawer, refrigerator, kegerator with 2 taps, ice machine and numerous contained drawers. This space was easily accessed from their kitchen which made food prep extremely easy. For cooler weather, we installed 2 Infratech heaters at the headers which make this area very comfortable while watching football games or enjoying family dinners outside. The ceiling was 5 1/2” painted tongue and groove, V-Groove planks with matching trim and numerous LED recessed can lights. This all leads to a Larson storm door into the new porch area.

The grand porch area was a 24’ x 20’ gable roof with exposed, stained beams and the same tongue and groove ceiling as the kitchen area. We installed a stone fireplace in the center of the room with a matching hearth and stone mantle. The floor was a large 24” tile pattern. This room needed railing so we install the same Trex railing as the deck area and then added EZE Breeze Vertical 4 Track porch windows and glass in the gable openings. We added a painted shiplap wall to close off the adjacent kitchen area. This room also had Infratech heaters installed as well as LED can lights and a very large ceiling fan. To make this room flow better with the house, we removed a window in the living room and added a large 12’ wide x 8’ tall triple sliding door. When the doors are opened, the room seamlessly flows with the interior room. This room created endless possibilities for family and friends to relax and enjoy their company. One of my favorite thing to hear is when clients tell us that they “practically live out here in the porch”.
